Quick Thoughts On Heat And The Superbowl

Anyone can make food hot, but it is more difficult to make hot food good. What makes hot foods work for me is that the heat brings out the other flavors. It should raise them, and make it where you can taste each one on its own, and then see it blend into a symphony of flavors. Chili can be a good example of this, where the heat of the peppers brings everything alive, or a good vindaloo curry where the heat makes each spice explode in a burst of flavor. If you do your heat where you either only taste the heat (such as too much chili powder) and nothing else, then you have in my book failed. If all you want is heat, go get a bottle of pure capasaisin, sign the legal releases (half marketing, all real), and burn away. I will pass on that, however, thank you.

As for the Superbowl, I may go to the party being given by the apartment complex, or I may not. The Atlanta Pigeons are not in it, nor is Dallas. Then again, when Dallas is in it they insist on cutting away from the enjoyable action to focus on the players on the field. I could care less about some sweaty guys when the cheerleaders are in motion. Or still for that matter. The commercials are usually quite good though…
