3-11 Follow-Ups

There are some excellent follow-ups today on yesterday's horrific bombings in Spain. The first is here, done by Blogfather Joe Katzman at Winds of Change. There area also several good posts with links up at Citizen Smash. Check them out, and remember to keep all the victims and their families in your thoughts.

For those wanting to show their sympathy in a more substaintial way, Glenn Reynolds offers this, which is echoed by Blackfive here.

You, my readers, are adult and I usually don't repeat myself, but I will today. There is a lot of sound and fury about which group or groups or splinters of groups were involved. It really doesn't matter. What matters is the message, and I repeat my close of yesterday:

"That point is that the War continues. That it is a War unto the death, and that nothing less than the death of our culture and civilization itself will do for those on the other side. That evil will strike anywhere it can, and that it must strike in other areas since it is blocked in so many areas and former safe havens. That we must join with our allies and do what is needed to eliminate this barbaric threat from the World. Our future depends on it. The message has been received."

This is war. It is not law enforcement, which worked oh-so-well in the 90s to deal with the problem. It is war and we fail to engage it as such at our peril.
