More To Come

But it takes more out of me than I realized to get up and do right now, esp. since physical therapy started Sunday. I will be edging back into things this week more and more each day. I have learned a number of things, and will share some or most of them with you. I have been thinking about some things, and once I can get those thoughts coherent they will be shared. Some of the dreams and waking dreams I’ve had whilst on medication, are not likely to be shared. Steaks, rare or raw, very much appreciated as the appetite is good. Am not used to comfortable slings and ice bags that really work and are comfortable, don’t plan to get used to it, though.

Don't push yourself too hard at first. Give things a chance to start getting better. We'll still be checking in. (or if you're me and as busy as I was last week - MOSTLY checking in!)

Hope the recovery goes well. As Teresa said, don't rush things. But, don't take it so easy your muscles waste away.

BTW, carrying a large Protest Warrior sign around in a stiff wind is great exercise. Take it from one who knows.:)

Hope you're healed soon!

The drugs alone - anesthetic and pain killers - will drain you until you're off them, so take it easy and don't expect to be able to push yourself too hard. Listen to your body when it tells you that a nap is in order. Slap it upside the head when it tells you that heavy lifting is in order. Take your physical therapist cookies and eat most of them yourself. And don't neglect that wee bottle o'the nectar of life, as you progress off the painkillers ;->
