You Want Atrocity? You Want Torture?

Then go watch the video of the murder of Mr. Berg. See what a real atrocity, what real torture is all about. Why is this not the lede in every frelling newscast in this country? This story broke yesterday fairly early, but I did not see it until late. I would not comment on it until late. So, what I will call most members of the Old Media, and a few other people right now, is COWARDS. The remainder of what I have to say will be in extended section, and if you are under 18 or easily offended, go away.

The savage murder of Mr. Berg is being trumpeted as retaliation for the “atrocities” commited by the U.S. I have but one word to say to them and any who believe that crap:

BULLSHIT

What happened at our prison should not have happened, but it is nothing compared to what goes on daily in the Middle East, and most especially to what went on daily under Saddam.

Where is the outrage now? Where is the moral indignation? Where are the demands for immediate justice? Where are the impassioned calls for action now?

Oh, wait, it’s an American. That’s okay, we asked for it. Just ask the floating fat man, all contractors are mercenaries. It is okay for Islamics, Arabs, and other “oppressed” people to rape, torture, and kill Americans. Remember, according to them and the oh so responsible members of the Old Media, that the brutal and savage beheading of a Citizen is the moral equivalent of making prisoners dance naked.

BULLSHIT

Any reasonable six-year-old will tell you that there is a world of difference between humiliation, not all that different from some forms of schoolyard humiliation, and the beheading of someone. Why is it that so many of the so-called and self-anointed intellectual elites can’t grasp what almost any six-year-old can? Why is it that the network news (with the exception of Fox) will bury the story and treat it as an acceptable and predictable thing?

Well, it was predictable. Anyone with a room temperature IQ had to figure that the extremists were going to pick up on the coverage of the scandal and use it for all it is worth. I fully expect to see it blamed as the reason behind everything from car bombings to the pregnancy of Achmed’s sister. What really frosts me is that so many in the Old Media will uncritically buy into it, because it happens to fit their political agenda.

It is not acceptable

It is barbaric

It is murder most foul

It is an assault on the U.S. just as the planes were in 9-11

The media will bury that for all they are worth, just as they do their best to bury that this is a real war and the other side wants us and our culture dead. They will bury the fact that this happened at all, after all, the story is not the atrocities committed by the other side, but the fact that we are not perfect and that the evil Bushitler has led us astray.

BULLSHIT

What this does is reaffirm that we are at war. What this does is clearly show who is for freedom and who is against us. It shows the need to recommit to fighting this war in every way and on every level. At home and abroad.

The act today is murder. Nothing more, nothing less.

I want to know, I demand to know: Where is the outrage now? Where are the protests, the demands for action, and the self-righteous frenzy now? Why is this murder any less deserving?

Where is the integrity now?

Well said Blake. You are much better at typing when you're angry than I am. Thank you!

500,000 Iraqi's would agree with you... but we've had some trouble digging the Saddam-delivered bullets out of the backs of their heads...

The world went nutso over the torture pics, but it seems that an innocent human being loosing his head isn't a big deal at all. The Sicilian SMASH. For chrikes sake that poor man and his family. I don't see anyone being heckled to resign over this, I may be called a warmonger, but I think a little justice needs to be served over this.
