Another Thought On The Boston Globe Story

What the Globe did is bad enough, but what about the politician and the “activist” that made the charges? Did they not in any way research the images before coming forward to charge the U.S. military with rape? Should they not have done so? Other than irresponsible, might there be other words to describe an elected official and a Citizen who make false charges in a time of war? For if they made these charges without checking, it is a gross abuse of power and responsibilities as Citizens, indeed it is a dereliction of their duty as Citizens to have done so. If they made them knowing they were false, that brings up an entirely new set of words for consideration and exploration, starting with slander, proceeding to sedition and ending with treason. One wonders if any responsible official is looking into this and exploring all the possible words that may apply here. If not, one hopes that some responsible and knowledgeable bloggers will do so.

Why is anyone surprised that in today’s environment, where practically every democratic candidate seeking their party's nomination for the office of the President of the United States of America has at one point or another advanced some idiotic conspiracy theory about Bush and his administration trying to hurt American interests to line their pockets, or where democrats and the left leaning media are pining for the glory days of Vietnam protesting that allowed them to blame America and it’s military as the source of all things evil in the world, fact checking becomes unimportant?

The reason this happened is simple: the new democratic party members that have taken over their party’s leadership, feels the military is the source of all evil things in the world, and will believe any accusation that proves that point. For a lack of better words I have come to refer to them as the X-Files party, as it is all about conspiracies to them. They needed something new to take the Nick Berg story - which would have derailed the momentum and the growing anti-war feelings their biased reporting was creating to bring down Bush’s credibility - off the front page and moved on to these rape pictures in the hope of doing so.

Remember, the Boston Globe is owned by the New York Times, a paper which has made it obvious by its actions - even when said actions have resulted in damage to its reputation as the news reporting world leader - that its ultimate goal is to make sure there us no Bush second term. Want to entertain a conspiracy? Who will investigate if the New York Times passed this story to the globe in order to shield itself from more partisan accusations?

The "t" word immediately popped into my head after finding out about this idiocy. I hate to use words like that because it can seem moonbat-like sometimes; but what can I say, that's what popped into my head.

They made them knowning they were false. It is their known way. They are liars and race hustlers. Think Al Sharpton without his "ethics."
