May 23, 2004Richard Biggs, RIPI woke up this morning to an e-mail from a friend letting me know that actor Richard Biggs, who among other roles played Dr. Stephen Franklin on Babylon 5, passed into the light yesterday. Details are still a bit sketchy, but it has apparently been suggested that the cause of death was an aneurism or stroke because it happened very quickly. From all accounts he was a stand-up guy and a true professional with his work. May the light enfold him, and shine on his family and friends in the days ahead. LW UPDATE: Information on the memorial service can be found here. There is also a guest book that will be presented to the family, and you can find it at the bottom of this page. Posted by wolf1 at May 23, 2004 01:32 PM | TrackBackComments He was good. I'll miss him, but will remember him every time I replay my B5 DVD's. I guess that can be considered a sort of immortality. Rich Posted by: Rich at May 23, 2004 02:14 PMRicky and his family are friends whom I have had the privilege to have known. Ricky was such a great person who had so much love for all off his friends, and especially his family. He will be missed by so many people. May his family and friends know that all of our prayers are with them in this time of tragedy. God Bless Posted by: mharris at May 26, 2004 02:47 PMDear friends and family: I just got the news this morning, what a terrible shock. I have been in several seminars with Richard, and was very impressed by his talent and passion for life and acting. We will all miss his work and his sense of fun. A life cut far too short. My deepest sympathies to those close around him. Scott Brewer Posted by: Scott Brewer at May 26, 2004 03:25 PMJust a fan who enjoyed Richard's work on Any Day Now and of course on Babylon 5. So sorry to hear about his death at such a young age. Karen Brunson Comments are Closed. |
