Government teachers are typically trained to be irrationally leftist oriented in teacher's colleges. If you don't want your kids to be indoctrinated by these people, don't send them to government schools.

I went back to college with the intention of earning a BS in physics education. About halfway through the second semester I changed majors because I'd come to the conclusion that I was no where near politically correct enough to be trusted teaching kids.

I wound up getting a CIS degree instead and now I substitute teach occasionally. My experience as a sub has been mostly enjoyable, where the kids are concerned, but has made it very clear to me that I wouldn't last through the first year if I had to be involved in the politics that full time teachers endure.

I like to think that I'd have been a good science teacher. I hate to think about how many others who would have made wonderful teachers choose a different path simply because they could not tolerate the leftist PC BS handed out in our nations teaching programs.
