July 01, 2004Playing Politics With The Lives Of Soldiers, Yet AgainAs if this story previously discussed was not bad enough, this morning brings a post from Blackfive showing exactly how much certain members of Congress care about our troops, and exactly how serious they are about our safety and the War on Terror. Our troops need us, and are depending upon us for ensuring their safety. Get up off your duff, and call and fax your Senators today. Spread the word to everyone you know, and get them to call too. Let’s get this done, so they can get their job done. No excuses, no delays, do it today! LW UPDATE: If you want to find the contact information for your Senators, go here. I have also called my Senators, and here is where is stands: Senator Shelby’s office has been most helpful, registered my strong support of the bill as a Citizen, and is providing yeoman’s service to me as a writer in trying to get a statement and official position from the Senator in regards the bill. There may be some delay on that as the Senator is on an official trip out of the country, but they are trying to reach him to get it, and are sending him the WSJ editorial link as well. As soon as I get a statement, it will be posted. The person answering the phone at Senator Sessions’s office took down my strong support as a Citizen, and and stated that they had no position yet on the bill as it was still in committee. I think a few hundred calls to both offices will help. I took the time, so should you. LW Posted by wolf1 at July 1, 2004 01:46 PM | TrackBackComments Thanks for the help in spreading the word!
