I was on travel Friday and then dealing with Charley and worrying about friends, but I was saddened to learn of the passing of Julia Child. Her cooking show, along with the Galloping Gourmet, had quite an impact on me growing up and helped nurture my love of cooking and food. I am willing to bet that most know her this way, but John over at Castle Argghhh! has a great post and link up to something not so widely known: the beloved Chef was a patriot and a member of the OSS.
