August 30, 2004From The Squirrel’s Point Of ViewI keep thinking about this wonderful story, and laughing my rear end off. Thank you so much for posting it Stacy! Now, since I like to try and look at it from the other person’s point of view, I have been thinking about how the squirrel viewed it. I figure he/she was having a very bad day, and it was all the fault of the humans. Maybe it had been chased from a feeder or three, or subjected to things like barriers, greased poles, and the like. Maybe some kids had shot at it with a BB gun, or a homeowner’s cat had chased it. At the end of all this, it ends up under a car and flung out in front of yet another of these human made contraptions. It had just had enough. We have all been there. The days when nothing goes right and some hapless schmuck comes into range. They were not responsible for everything else that day, but by george they were the final straw. You snap. They are your target, the way to vent all your frustrations and strike back against all of the people who have done you wrong. Pulling its tail, twice, was just like pulling the pin on a grenade. I wonder. Did it end up going to jail? Or, my hope, did it end up going to tree rodent equivalent of a bar and getting slammed? I can just visualize it barking at the bartender, recounting its day, and glowering at any who looked at it funny. Maybe it got a “massage-E” to finish getting rid of stress. Hope it got something good, as the story and the visuals it has provided have rewarded me with lots and lots of laughter this weekend. -30- Posted by wolf1 at August 30, 2004 03:16 PM | TrackBackComments IF it really happened (and I doubt it) I'm sure it ended with a couple of cops picking buchshot and Squirelly-Bits(tm) out of the seats.
