September 17, 2004Where Is Laughing Wolf?Hint. Where did coffee bars get started? More soon, but where I am has no wifi, no internet access, etc. Am visiting the "big city" and found an internet cafe for this. Thoughts go out to those suffering under Ivan. More when I return. LW Posted by wolf1 at September 17, 2004 04:49 PM | TrackBackComments Hmmmm....coffee??? Hmmm......no wifi????? Hmmmm........"Big City"???????
Good to hear from you!! Posted by: Tammi at September 17, 2004 06:14 PMOkay, I'll play. Coffee was first reported to be discovered in Ethiopia and brought across the sea to Arabia. So I would say Turkey, as they developed men's coffee type "bars" at markets for conducting business, and getting away from the family, etc. in the middle ages. Now if you are talking about coffee bars in the US then I'd say Seattle, Wa. But wait, you say there's no wifi, no internet access, etc. which means it can't be seattle because that the capital of wifi (after Japan). So here's my guess if you're in the middle east I say Turkey but if you're in Europe I'll say Italy. Oh... if you're in Italy I ENVY YOU!!!!
You are in Vienna? Posted by: Kathy K at September 18, 2004 07:47 PMI know! But...someone beat me to it. Safe journey! Posted by: Da Goddess at September 19, 2004 07:20 AMYep, I was in Vienna, at least for checking in. :) I was actually outside of Vienna for the week, but more on that soon. I am currently in the airport in Paris, on my way home. TG it's not on Air Chance this time but Delta. :) More to come soon. LW Posted by: Laughing Wolf at September 19, 2004 09:36 AMWell, I suppose you'll be back home before you read this *grin* so I'm hoping the trip went very well!!! Posted by: Teresa at September 19, 2004 09:52 PMWell, I hope you at least had a cuppa coffee in Vienna! It's required. ;) Posted by: Kathy K at September 20, 2004 12:30 AMYay! You're back! We missed you! Can't wait to hear how your trip went. I love libraries, but in particular genealogy research libraries... which is probably NOT where you were. :) Posted by: Boudicca at September 20, 2004 09:45 PMComments are Closed. |
