Snow

Well, we did get some, but thankfully not as much as central and southern Indiana. They changed the forecast last night at six, so I went ahead and moved the grocery shopping I had planned for today to last night. There were a lot of people out buying for the holidays, getting it in ahead of the snow. None of the panic that I am used to in Huntsville when a snowflake is seen, however.

I plan to stay in as much as possible, especially since we are headed down to –10 here in the next day or so. This is one heck of a welcome back to this part of the country, but at least I will get the White Christmas.

They're even predicting some mixed rain and snow here in the Seattle. People are as bad here as AL I'll bet. All those yuppie suburbanites in their shiny SUV's that they don't know how to drive - it's amazing to me how many end up in ditches! I learned how to drive in Nebraska, so snow and ice are old friends, but with all of the idiots on the road, I prefer to sit inside with my hot cocoa and look out the window. Or else prowl around on foot taking pictures, of course. I'm glad it waited for you to get settled in!

LOL! Isn't that the truth on the SUVs! Good luck out there, and as for me I am glad my Dad took to time to make sure I knew as much as a Southern boy could about driving on ice and snow. :)
