March 25, 2005Friday Wolf BloggingNot sure how long I will have access, so will keep this short today. The shots were made last week at the Great Easter Egg Hunt, and I plan to post more soon. It is also a test of some software (thanks Chris!) that seriously reduces file size without impacting quality. Without further ado, we have: ![]() Not sure if the tongue is out and licking chops in anticipation or not... ![]() A puppy (Renki I believe) goes for an egg, but has a little trouble getting it out. ![]() Erin goes for an egg. More later, I hope. Maybe. LW Posted by wolf1 at March 25, 2005 11:25 AM | TrackBackComments Are they real eggs or some kind of treat? What a neat idea for my dog... wonder if I could find some that smell like Lizards? I have the 'Great Lizard Hunter'. Funny to watch a 140 pound dog go after lizards. Posted by: vw bug at March 25, 2005 05:40 PMLOL! Not sure about lizard flavor... There were treats, such as peeps and twinkies. One twinkie was taken and promptly buried, though I am not sure if that was a cacheing or simply an expedient hazmat disposal by the wolf in question (the look on her face was priceless). The eggs were both hard boiled and raw. I have been told that in years past, one or more of the wolves would bring the eggs to a person, so that they would peel it for them to expose the yolk. Seems the wolves thought the whites were icky... *G* Mixed reaction on the eggs this year from what I saw, though the foxes loved them. Ember got very annoyed with one of the interns and myself when we went to cut on the lights for howl night. The switch for the fox facility was apparently near a cache, and she finally came over, recovered the egg, and took it to a place of safety. :) Posted by: Laughing Wolf at March 25, 2005 06:19 PMTerrific pictures, looks like the wolves were having a great time. *grin* Posted by: Teresa at March 25, 2005 11:24 PMI spent the afternoon with puppies too, no pictures though. But those guys really look like they're getting into the Easter spirit! The candy-hunting spirit, that is... Very COOL pictures. So the wolves ate the children and then had the Easter Hunt all to themselves?? They are smart animals aren't they? Posted by: TNT at March 27, 2005 03:31 PMTNT: LOL! They may wish... The scary thing is that I am told the Park has had some parents come in thinking that the kids, small kids, would do an egg hunt in with the wolves. My mind truly boggles at that and wonders what (or if) were they thinking? Posted by: Laughing Wolf at March 27, 2005 03:47 PMComments are Closed. |
