Hurricane Katrina: Disaster Recover Info For Victims

We are in the midst of a disaster on a scale never seen before: the complete evacuation of a major metropolitan area, and that is but one part of a much larger disaster that has seen cities, towns, and areas effectively wiped from the face of the Earth. Any single part of this would tax the resources of a normal response.

A common question that is coming up from the hundreds of thousands of people effected is "What do I do?" Michele of Letters From NYC has posted a guide to help. Please help spread this information via blogs, e-mail, old-fashioned push-pin bulletin boards, and any other means. The more information people have, the better for all.

Meantime, please continue to give in any way you can. With the media focused on New Orleans, the full scale of the devastation has yet to be seen.
