Can Anyone Recommend
A good designer who can work with Expression Engine? Who might be willing to help teach someone about same, and not just the design aspects?

I cannot recommend myself - I was interested in its predecessor but haven't done a thing with EE (even if I had the time to take on jobs). EE doesn't pose quite the same problems with their license that MT does but it does have some restrictions on outside contractors - so be aware.
