A PayPal Ooops
I want to thank everyone for the public and private words of encouragement. You have no idea how much they mean, help, and are appreciated!
I also want to thank everyone who has been donating here or at PMI. We are off to a good start, and it gives me hope that we might be able to raise the money fairly quickly.
Unfortunately, I have to report that the inevitable bug in the system has been found. Actually, the bug may have been a factor for a couple of years now. Apparently, a couple of years ago, a change in the system created a pathway to nowhere for my PayPal button. After getting some comments and e-mail indicating people were donating but not seeing any activity, I began checking and got PayPal to start some checking. I quickly created a brand new button and installed it which does work, and thanks to JanB for the successful test. Glad I didn’t wait, as PayPal didn’t bother to suggest this obvious idea until this morning…
The problem is with the donations that went we know not where.
If you have made a donation anywhere over the last two years and up until about 3 p.m. Eastern yesterday that I have not acknowledged, please hold/halt/cancel that donation and resubmit using the current button. I apologize for this, and appreciate your donations and your time very much. Thank You!
May this be the worst glitch that I have to deal with in regards this embed!

Your Suggestions Sought
I am helping a colleague put together some panel proposals for the upcoming Blogworld & New Media Expo and would appreciate your assistance. For this proposal, he/we need suggestions for university/college blogs; that is, blogs done by colleges and universities, or by particular schools within such institutions. We also would like to get some good student blogs recommended, and those students can be full-time, part-time, local, long-distance, or purple with pink polka dots. Suggestions anyone?
