Blog World Expo 08 Post 1
There is a post from Mr. Wolf, my counterpart, up at Blackfive. My short take is: trip in was okay; I was kidnapped not long after my arrival—that’s my story and I’m sticking to it; and, we had a good time last night including meeting up with Zonker. It was good that I also got to meet Doc-in-the-Box, LL, and others. The panels today have been good in the entrepreneur and executive sessions. Big plans tonight, including the party being thrown by Penthouse for Blackfive, to which we’ve invited the milblogs. Wish Da Goddess and Tammi could be here. More soon.

Quick Update
Yes, I know I owe calls, e-mail, and more. Good news, survived the symposium and aftermath at work. Bad News, a lot more to come there including some extra special projects.
Great News: I leave in a few minutes for Las Vegas and the Blog World and New Media Expo. Not that you will be able to tell, but posting will be spotty for the next few days…

Okay, posting has been lite. The yard and some repairs have taken a lot of time of late. The time I have left, well, among other things, it has been claimed by Facebook, and I blame Jane of Armies of Liberation for that. Yep, it’s all her fault. Uh huh. Really. It is, er.....

Fan-Frelling-Tastic: JihadGene is Blogging!
Right when I thought that yet more professional-and-moral cowardice by school officials would spike my blood pressure fully up into stroke range, good news came my way: JihadGene is blogging! This is great news to anyone with a sense of humor, and who appreciates humor being wielded like a razor-edged sword at very worthwhile targets. Spread the word far and wide on this one, because it is one you truly need to read. That said, I hope he will remain a great reader and frequent contributor here and elsewhere.

Parentage Acknowledged, Slowly
I think it is about time I started acknowledging my blog children. After all, Tammi just celebrated her 4th year. Of course, I’m still not sure that her birth was within regulations since both Lex and I are her fathers…
Soldiers Angels Wounded Warrior Support is just starting, and if her son starts blogging as threatened, then Baldilocks and I can claim parentage of him.
Hmmmm. Seems I am a lot less straight laced and careful in blog propagation than I am with normal propagation. Somehow am not sure that safe blogging will ever catch on. Or, at least let’s hope not as in this case, the more the better.

A Wish List
People have liked the videos and more, and I am slowly compiling a wish list of things that will help deal with the areas needing improvement; a list of things I would love to have and would make things better in my opinion; and, a list of things that would help me prepare for the next embed. This will be getting updated, and maybe even bumped up a time or two…

Welcome To My Visitors
Good Morning!
If you are coming here from CNN, please look around and be welcome. If you are looking for my reporting from Iraq, the non-military is here and the military can be found at Blackfive including all the posts on DJ and Operation Puppy Love. If you have questions, send them on and I will do my best to answer once I get back from Wolf Park. Yes, those are wolves I was with; yes, we were out on a frozen lake; no, they are not domesticated; and, no, they don’t scare me but do earn my respect. Come on out and visit us to see for yourself.
Also, since getting DJ out was a team effort, I want to thank once again the soldiers of 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
