That Was Weird

I am occasionally accused of being paranoid, a charge that I may even slightly agree with, though I tend to view it as justifiable caution given the human condition.  I note many things, but few stay on the radar of life.  Yesterday may well prove an exception, in that something weird even by my standards took place.  I went to check on Jenny, who was outside, and when I got to the door I heard her barking—not a frequent occurrence.  As I open the door, I notice a blue sport-type SUV (not sure of the model) sitting in the gravel road that runs through part of my property, with an occupant who appeared to be staring at my house, that rabbitted as I came out the door.  Did not get a good glimpse of said occupant (or occupants) as they took off fast almost as soon as I was opening the storm door, and did not get a good look at plates either.  Definitely amateur hour, however, as they came back down the road in front of the house almost immediately, and then all but ran a stop sign as I moved to try to get a better look at them and their plates.  Not sure what was going on, but it was interesting to the point that I am thinking a report (other than this) might not be a bad idea…

UPDATE:  I filed a report via phone with the dispatcher this afternoon.  Have no idea what went into the report, but gave all the info I had on vehicle, tag (not much on either), and the way they took off from out back, and pretty much ran the stop sign when I tried to catch them in front.  Other than that, all I can do is keep an eye out.
